Evelyn M. Theaker

Theaker, Evelyn M. Auburn, Michigan Formerly of Bay City, Michigan Evelyn passed away Tuesday, November 8, 2011 at Sylvester's Adult Foster Care Home in Linwood, MI. Age 85 years. The daughter of the late Vern and Marina (Sutter) Trombley Sr. was born January 12, 1926 in Detroit, MI. She was a member of Our Lady of the Visitation Catholic Church. Evelyn retired from the former Northern Supply Company. She enjoyed collecting Elvis Presley memorabilia, spending time with her family and attending the Golden Horizon's. She is survived by her children; Cheryl Scott of Auburn, MI, Lynn (Gary) Stevens of Pinconning, MI , Robert (Carol) Gibelyou of Mayville, MI, Pete Gibelyou of Indiana, Donald (Gabriel) Beaudin of FL, Leon Beaudin of Midland, MI Robin (Dave) Umphery of Sand Lake, MI, seven grandchildren, nine great grandchildren, her brother; Vern Trombley Jr. of Florida, one sister; Shirley Gorney of Bay City, her best friend; Alma Watton of Bay City. In addition to her parents she was also preceded in death by her husband; Dale E. Theaker, her son in-law; Thomas G. Scott, her great grandson; Gary Lee Stevens III and her pet; Jake. The family would like to extend a special Thank you to Sylvester's Adult Foster Care Home and McLaren Visting Nurse Services and Hospice-Amy Bennett's team for the kind and compassionate care you gave our loved one during her time of need. The Funeral Liturgy and Rite of Committal will be celebrated Saturday, November 12, 2011 at 10:00 a.m. at Our Lady of the Visitation Catholic Church. The celebrant will be Rev. Fr. George J. Serour with private inurnment in Floral Gardens Cemetery. Friends may call at the Gephart Funeral Home, Inc. on Friday from 3:00 to 8:00 p.m. The Vigil for the Deceased will take place Friday evening at 7:00 p.m. at the funeral home. Evelyn will be taken to the church on Saturday to lie in state from 9:00 a.m. until the time of services.
