Our loving mother, grandmother and sister passed away Monday, April 4, 2016 at St. John Providence Park Hospital in Novi, Michigan. Age 90 years. The daughter of the late Henry and Frieda (Koch) Ittner was born April 13, 1925 in Bay City, Michigan. Mrs. Washe was a member of Zion Lutheran Church and a founding member of Faith Lutheran Church. She worked at Defoe Shipbuilding and went on to retire from Mutual Savings and Loan Association after more than 30 years of service. She was an avid fan of college sports and the Detroit Tigers, and also enjoyed traveling, going on cruises and the companionship of her cats, Hey You and Misty. Left to cherish her memory are two daughters and two sons-in-law, Susan and John Malek; Nancy and Wesley Colmery; three grandchildren, Michael Malek; Christine (Tony) Malek-Calabro and Peter Colmery; two sisters, Doris Buechler and Gwen (Herb) Bach; many nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents she was also preceded in death by her husband, Peter Washe; two sisters and three brothers-in-law, Nona Williams Gordon and her husbands, William J. Williams and Edward Gordon; Esther and George Baur. Funeral Services will take place Saturday, April 9, 2016 at 1:00 p.m. at Zion Lutheran Church (510 W. Ivy St. Bay City, Michigan 48706). Officiating will be Rev. Paul G. Kruse with interment following in Floral Gardens Cemetery. The family will be present at the church on Saturday to receive family and friends from 12:00 o'clock Noon and until the time of services.
