Gary Engel

Mr. Engel passed away at his residence on Monday, July 5, 2021 at the age of 71. The son of the late Frank and Florence (Gallagher) Engel was born November 28, 1949 in Bay City, Michigan. Gary served two tours in the US Army during the Vietnam conflict and enjoyed going for walks, scratching lottery tickets and cooking.
Mr. Engel is survived by his son, Christopher Engel; longtime girlfriend, Sherrie Schell; nephew, Richard Engel Jr.; brothers and sisters, Barbara (Arthur) Sniecinski, Thomas (Patricia) Engel and Kenneth Engel, close friend, Theresa Kozak Johnson and many other close friends. In addition to his parents he was also preceded in death by his brother, Richard Wayne Engel and his sister, Sharon Gleason.
At the request of my Engel cremation has taken place and no services are being planned. Private inurnment will take place at a later date in Great Lakes National Cemetery. Memorials for wishes of the family will be available.
