Gary Randolph Wright

Mr. Wright passed away on June 11, 2018 at McLaren Bay Region at the age of 80 years. The son of the late Franklin and Mary Ann (Butch) Wright was born in Lansing, Michigan on October 7, 1937. Gary married the former Shirley Meylan on October 1, 1960 and were married for 56 years until Shirley passed away on July 2, 2017. Gary was a member of the Apostolic Christian Church for many years. He proudly served his country in the United States Army. Gary worked for his uncle's produce business HBP and later worked selling tires for Firestone. He also sold International Harvester and John Deere farm implements for many years. He was always known for his 1 line jokes and often told people to "keep your socks up" and "keep your wheels straight".
Mr. Wright is survived by his daughter, Lynette (Greg) Munsel; two grandchildren, Carissa (Allan) TerBush and Erin Munsel; two great grandchildren, Luke and Caleb TerBush; brothers and sisters-in-law, Eileen Groeschen, Henry (Billie) Meylan, Marilyn Meylan, Gene (Carol) Meylan, Dale Meylan and Cindy (Jim) Sochacki; Several special nieces and nephews who knew him as "Uncle Pow". In addition to his wife and parents, he was also preceded in death by brothers and sisters-in-law, Dick (Donna) Meylan, Fern (Bill) Shannon, Jacque Groeschen, Gary Meylan and Sue Meylan; father-in-law, Henry Meylan; mothers-in-law, Katherine, Eunice and Helen Meylan..
Funeral service will be held on Saturday June 16, 2018 at 11:00 a.m. at the Apostolic Christian Church. Officiating will be the clergy of the church with committal following in the church cemetery. Friends may visit with the family at the Gephart Funeral Home, Inc. on Friday from 2:00 to 8:00 p.m. and on Saturday at the church from 10:00 a.m. until the time of the service.
