Genevieve Ann Potocki

Genevieve passed away on Friday, August 4, 2023 at Huron Woods Nursing Center at the age of 99. She was born July 11, 1924 in Standish, Michigan to the late Joseph and Anna Potocki. Genevieve was a devoted member of St. Mary’s Catholic Church, part of the daughters of Isabella, League of Catholic Women and Men, she retired from Roy’s Steak House and was the former manager at the Holiday Inn in Bay City, Michigan. she enjoyed snowskiing, golfing, gardening, traveling and spending time with her family.

Genevieve is survived by her nephew, Joseph (Felicia) Jaskowski; niece, Judith McGuire; great nephews, Richard (Kathy) Jaskowski, Joseph (Barbara) Jaskowski, and Kevin (Melissa) Jaskowski; great great nieces and nephews, Brent (Susan) Hofflin, Samantha, Drew, Clay, Dylan, Ella, Derek, Lexi, Hannah, Finn, Danielle and many special friends. In addition to her parents, Genevieve is preceded in death by her brother, Leonard (Betty) Potocki; half-sisters, Josephine Jaskowski and Ethel (Ed) Mlodzianowski; half-brothers, Frank (Lee)Potocki, and Andy (Josephine) Zubor.

Funeral Mass will take place at 11:00 a.m. on Thursday, August 10, 2023 at Our Lady of Peace Parish. Friends may visit with the family on Wednesday August 9, 2023 at the Gephart Funeral Home from 3:00 p.m.to 8:00 p.m. and on Thursday, August 10, 2023 from 10:00 a.m. until the time of mass at the church. A vigil for Genevieve will take place at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday, August 9, 2023 at Gephart Funeral Home. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be considered to the Sisters of Charity or St. Jude’s Children’s Hospital.
