George "Ed" E. Commire

Commire, George E. "Ed" Bay City, Michigan Mr. Commire passed away Tuesday, May 11, 2010 at Bay Regional Medical Center. Age 73 years. The son of the late Joseph and Josephine (Beauchamp) Commire was born March 10, 1937 in Bently, Michigan. George was a member of Community of Christ Church and enjoyed traveling, fishing, Tigers games and hockey. George is survived by his wife Gwendolyn D. Commire whom he married April 6, 2002; daughter, Christina Marie (Matthew) Gordon; step daughter, Debra Hayes; step son, Mark (Lori) Norton; step daughter, Bonnie Cooper; step son, Steve Norton; nine grandchildren, seven step grandchildren, two great grandchildren; two step sons-in-law, Charles Danforth and Tom Fodo; brothers, Albert Commire and Kenneth (Cindy) Commire; sister-in-law, Blanche Commire. In addition to his parents George was also preceded in death by two daughters, Cindy Fodo and Billy Jo Danforth; sister-in-law, Lucille Commire and his brother, Joseph Commire. Funeral and Committal services will take place at 11:00 a.m. on Tuesday, May 18, 2010 at the Gephart Funeral Home, Inc. Officiating will be Elder Don Nielson and Elder Sonny Pease with cremation following. Friends may call at the Gephart Funeral Home, Inc. on Monday from 2:00 to 4:00 and 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. and on Tuesday from 10:00 a.m. and until the time of services. Memorial cards for the wishes of the family will be available at the funeral home.
