George William Reese

George passed away peacefully with his family by his side on Wednesday, April 22, 2026 at Hampton Nursing and Rehab Center at the age of 77. He was born to the late Simon and Irene (Yak) Reese Sr. on August 2, 1948 in Fairgrove, Michigan. He loved going hunting, fishing and working in the yard.

George is survived by his wife of over 54 years, Doris (Abbott) Reese, whom he married on December 11, 1970. He is also survived by his daughter, Tamara Reese; son, William George Reese; 5 grandchildren; brother, Harry Reese; nieces and nephews, Melinda (Nate), Tina (Jeff), Harry (Barbara), Simon (Heather), Leonard, Diane (Linel), Dawn, Debbie, Danielle, Tiffany, Michael, Scott, Bob, John and Janelle; brother-in-law’s, James Betzold and Rusty Betzold and sister-in-law, Patty Abbott. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his daughter, Michelle Reese; son, George Reese Jr.; sister-in-law, Bonnie Reese and several brothers, sisters, nieces and nephews.

In honoring the wishes of George, cremation has taken place and no services are being planned. Memorial contributions may be made to the Wishes of the Family.
