George Ronald "Ron" Strachan

Ron passed away on Thursday, February 8, 2018 at his residence with his family by his side at the age of 75 years. Ron was born in Bay City on February 1, 1943 to the late George and Clara Strachan. He married the former Kathleen J. Robertson in Bay City. She preceded him in death on February 11, 1994. Ron was employed and retired as a process tech from Buick City Flint after many years. He was a member of the Moose Lodge #169 and enjoyed traveling, vacations, fishing and going to the casino.
Ron is survived by his sons, Ronald (Susan) and Steven (Sherri) Strachan; granddaughters, Samantha, Kristina and Mercedes; special friend, Lorna Rodriguez and her family; brothers, John and Bill Strachan.
Per Ron's wishes cremation has taken place, a memorial service will take place on Tuesday, February 13, 2018 at 7:00 p.m. at the Gephart Funeral Home, Inc. Officiating will be Rev. Charles Campbell with private inurnment in Floral Gardens Cemetery. Friends may visit with the family at the Gephart Funeral Home, Inc. on Tuesday from 1:00 p.m. until the time of the service.
