Our loving father passed away on Wednesday, July 27, 2022 at his home with his family by his side at the age of 92. The son to the late Joseph and Blanche Wachowiak was born February 8, 1930 in Bay City, Michigan. Gerald proudly served his country in the Navy; he was an active member of Westminster Presbyterian Church and a member of AMVETS. He enjoyed fishing, baking cakes, driving the grandchildren around and spending time with his family.

Gerald is survived by his five children, Kevin (Katie) Wachowiak, Theresa (Mark) Hilliker, Carol (Michael) Petty, Glenn Wachowiak and Ann (Ewing) Fox; ten grandchildren, Kara, Marie, Kit, Macey, Devan, Brandi, Amber, Ariel, Tiffany and Tim; eleven great grandchildren; siblings, Joe (Josephine) Wachowiak, Maryanne (Donald) Gradkowski, Tom (Candi) Wachowiak and many nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents Gerald is preceded in death by his wife Joyce, of 58 years, who he married on March 4, 1962; siblings, James Wachowiak, Ed (Kathy) Wachowiak, Arlene "Archie" Kalinowski, Loretta Buczek and Sally (Richard) Delestowicz.

Funeral service will take place at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday, July 30, 2022 at Gephart Funeral Home. Officiating will be Rev. Jamie Milton with Committal following at Floral Gardens Cemetery. Visitation will take place on Friday, July 29, 2022 from 4:00 to 8:00 p.m. at the Gephart Funeral Home and on Saturday, July 30, 2022 from 9:00 a.m. until the time of service. In lieu of flowers contributions may be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital or to Westminster Presbyterian Church.
