Gerhard William Schwab

Schwab, Gerhard William of Frankenlust Twp./Bay City, Michigan passed away Friday, June 29, 2012 at McLaren Bay Region. Age 86 years. He was born Born March 22, 1926 in Bay City and has resided here all of his life. He was a member of St. Paul Lutheran Church of Frankenlust and retired from Grey Iron Foundry. Gerhard enjoyed gardening, deer hunting, spending time outdoors and taking walks in the woods. He is survived two sisters and one brother-in-law; Alma and Bob King of Loveland, CO and Doris Chamberlain of Bay City, one brother; Ronald Schwab of Bay City, seventeen nieces and nephews, many great nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents; William and Lydia (Sturm) Schwab, one sister; Marlene Schwab and one brother-in-law; Edward F. Chamberlain. Funeral Services will take place Monday July 2, 2012 at 11:00 a.m. at St. Paul Lutheran Church of Frankenlust. Officiating will be Rev. Paul D. Theiss with interment following in the Church Cemetery. Friends may call at the Gephart Funeral Home, Inc. Sunday from 2:00 to 5:00 and 7:00 to 9:00 p.m.. Mr. Schwab will be taken to the church on Monday to lie in state from 10:00 a.m. and until the time of services. Memorial cards for St. Paul Lutheran Church Memorial Fund will be available at the funeral home.
