Gertrude Toni Hillmer

Mrs. Hillmer, age 94 years, passed away March 24, 2024 at Bickford of Midland, Assisted Living and Memory Care facility. She was born in Zeitz, Germany on May 10, 1929. She was preceded in death by Ulrich, her husband of 34 years. She was an accomplished pianist and had a passion for animals and gardening. Her garden was always a beautiful work of art.
She is survived by her daughter, Joan Gunter, Richard (son-in-law), and Alex (grandson) of Kansas City. Also, her dear friend, Cheryl Clark of Midland, Michigan.
The family would like to give our thanks and gratitude for all the care the staff of Bickford of Midland and Careline Health Hospice Care for caring and ensuring she was comfortable and taken care of during her stay.
At the request of Toni, cremation has taken place and no services are being planned. Those planning and expression of sympathy may wish to consider memorial contributions to the wishes of the family.
