Gloria Anne Karol

Gloria passed on Monday, April 25, 2022 at her home surrounded by her family at the age of 71. The daughter of the late Joseph and Alma (Krueger) Walentovic was born May 28, 1950 in Bay City, Michigan. Gloria grew up on a farm in Munger and enjoyed baking, crocheting, crossword puzzles, gardening, birds, polka music, oldies, watching Days of our Lives, enjoying her morning coffee watching the news, dancing, doing arts and crafts, volunteering at the homeless shelter and Salvation Army, but most of all she enjoyed spending time with her granddaughters.

Gloria is survived by her daughter, Rachelle Karol and her fiancée, Jason Whiteherse; two granddaughters, Jaelyn Karol and Elleh Whiteherse; companion, Russell Lanzendorf; two sisters-in-law and many cousins, nieces, nephews and great nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, she was also preceded in death by her husband, Fred Karol; three children, Tommy, Patty and Baby Boy Karol and two brothers, Gerald "Jerry" Walentovic and Paul "LeRoy" Walentovic; sister Joyce Hadd.

Funeral and Committal service will take place at 3:00 p.m. on Tuesday, May 3, 2022 at the Gephart Funeral Home. Officiating will be Rev. Joseph Atchinson. Visitation will take place on Tuesday at the funeral home from 1:00 p.m. until the time of service. Memorial cards for the wishes of the family will be available at the funeral home.
