Gloria "Cora" Moran (Rifenbark)

Moran, Gloria A. "Cora" (Rifenbark) Our loving wife, mother, grandmother (known to many as Mimi) and sister passed away Wednesday, April 6, 2016 in the comfort of her home in Bay City, Michigan, age 70. The daughter of the late James and Florence (Bellor) Rifenbark was born April 19, 1945 in Bay County, Michigan. She married Leonard G. Moran on April 8, 1967. Gloria was a long-time member of St. Stanislaus Kostka and more recently St. Catherine of Siena Parish. She was also a member of the Red Hat Society. Gloria was employed at The Dow Chemical Company and St. Stanislaus Parish. She enjoyed living at the beach, bike rides, reading, gardening, yoga, shopping, working with youth and spending as much time as possible with her family. She was a proud cheerleader of her four grandchildren. Left to cherish her memory are her husband, Leonard, daughter Mechelle (Jay) Hill, son Jason (Kelly) Moran, four grandchildren, Olivia Weidner, Ella Weidner, Dayton Moran and Brendan Moran; three sisters, Joyce (Kenneth) Pacholka, Kay (Thomas) Moran, Dorothy Rifenbark and two brothers, Gerald (Joan) Rifenbark and Martin (Crystal) Rifenbark. The family would like to express sincere thanks to Homewatch Caregivers, Compassus Hospice and Denise for their extraordinary care and compassion. At the request of Mrs. Moran cremation has taken place. A Memorial Mass will take place at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday, April 16, 2016 at St. Catherine of Siena Parish (2956 E. North Union Rd., Bay City, MI 48706) Rev. Fr. John S. Sarge and Sr. Virginia Scally, SNDdeN will officiate over the memorial mass. The family will be present at the church on Saturday to receive family and friends from 9:00 a.m. until the time of services.
