Gloria C. Rivard, 95, of Bay City, Michigan, passed away into her Savior's arms on Friday
morning, October 29th, 2021, at McLaren Bay Region Hospital, with her daughter by her
side.
She was born on January 11th, 1926 to Corrine (Blissner) and Hannibal Fisk in Bay City,
Michigan.
Gloria's beautiful legacy was making memories with her family and friends. She taught us
all to be strong, love the LORD, and enjoy life to the fullest. Her love for cooking was how
she loved upon her family. She loved going to their cabin in Frederick, Michigan where
they played cards, picked berries, and made homemade pies. They loved to take car rides
in upper Michigan and every car ride had to end in stopping for ice cream.
In her final years, Gloria often shared her faith at Bay City Comfort Care with the other
clients and workers. She liked to share with them the "Pain Poem".
She is survived by her brother, Gerald (Donna) Fisk, of Bophell, Washington; three children
Dan Rivard, of Boulder, Colorado, Diane (Ron) Greenwood, of Bay City, Michigan, and
Darren Rivard (Kim Piper), of Petosky, Michigan; grandchildren, Stacey (Jeremy) Jarrett of
Oxford, Michigan, and Joel (Karolyn) Greenwood of Angola, Indiana; and great-
grandchildren, Keagan, Micah, Beyonna, Moriah, and Hannah.
She was preceded in death by her loving husband, Joseph after 65 years of marriage, and
one sister, Joyce Gentle.
The family would like to offer a special thanks to her nieces for their love and support. Her
nieces were always very special to Gloria. The family would also like to thank Bonnie and
Darlene for their loving care over the last few years. The family would like to make one
final thanks to everyone at Bay City Comfort Care.
Visitation will be held from 10:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. noon, on Friday, Nov. 5, 2021, at Gephart Funeral Home, 201 W Midland St, Bay City, Michigan.
