Gregory M. Schmidt "Greg"

Greg Schmidt loving father, husband and son was taken from us unexpectedly on January 30, 2023. He was born in Norfolk, VA on June 5, 1989, but moved to Bay City, Michigan as a young boy. Greg was an avid outdoorsman who could be found fishing hunting or on a bike ride with his family. He also enjoyed baseball and sampling his wife's baking. Greg graduated from Central High School in 2007 before proudly serving his country in the Army at Fort Carson in Colorado and abroad.
Greg will be remembered for his laugh, his fierce love of his family, and his Stormy Kromer.

Greg is survived by his wife, Courtney Clark; children, Brayden, Emma and Hunter Schmidt and WyLee Clark; parents, Matt Schmidt and Cathy (Mike Gunther) Schmidt; His brothers, Ryan (Kayla) Schmidt and David (Alexus) Schmidt; grandmother, Carole Schmidt, mother-in-law, Patricia Gomez (Jack Basler); nieces and a nephew, Chloe, Cullen and Caroline; many aunts, uncles and cousins. Greg was preceded in death by his grandfather's, Richard Schmidt and Glen Mularz, grandmother, Carol Mularz; and father-in-law, Lewis G. Clark.

At the request of Greg, Cremation has taken place and a Memorial Service with Military Honors will be taking place on Saturday, February 4, 2023 at 2:00 p.m. at Gephart Funeral Home. Officiating will be Pastor Paul Schaewe. Friends may visit with the family on Saturday, February 4, 2023 from 12:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. Those wishing to make a memorial contribution may address them to wishes of the family.
