Harley Owen Holsinger

Harley passed away peacefully at the Bay County Medical Care Facility on Thursday, February 8, 2024 at the age of 86. The son of the late Paul and Bertha (Owens) Holsinger was born July 14, 1937 in Manistee, Michigan. Harley served in the U.S. Army, owned and operated Holsinger Manufacturing and was a member of Trout Unlimited and the Rocky Mountain Elk Foundation. Harley enjoyed hunting, fishing, fly fishing, walking, gardening and golfing, but most of all he loved spending time with his grandchildren.

Harley is survived by his wife of 63 years, the former Joyce Spinner; two daughters, Anne (Jason) Russell and Kristin (Joseph) Martuch; five grandchildren, Brett Russell, Suzanne (Aaron) Pattison, Chad Russell, Jeremy Martuch and Allison (Brandon) Lock; two great granddaughters, Zella and Daisy Pattison and many nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents, he was also preceded in death by his brother, William Holsinger.

The family would like to extend a special thank you to the staff at Golden Horizons for their compassion and care that they gave to Harley.

A memorial service will take place at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, February 17, 2024 at St. Alban’s Episcopal Church. Officiating will be The Rev. Nancy Mayhew. Private inurnment will take place at Elm Lawn Cemetery. Visitation will take place at St. Alban’s Episcopal Church on Saturday, February 17, 2024 from 10:00 a.m. until he time of service. Memorial cards for St. Alban’s Episcopal Church, Golden Horizons or the donor’s favorite charity will be available at the church.
