Harold J. Padget "Jack"

Padget, Harold J. (Jack) Bay City, Michigan Jack passed away suddenly on Wednesday, February 13, 2013 at St. Mary's of Standish Hospital. He was 72 years old. Jack is the son of Harold J. and Fern (Nutt) Padget. He was born November 7, 1940 in Toronto, Canada. Jack's faith in God sustained him and he was very active in the St. Hedwig Catholic Church community as Greeter, Choir Member, and Prayer Group Leader for the Heart of Christ Community. He contributed significantly to the community with his activities in the jail ministry program. Jack retired from GM's Buick Engine Plant in Flint, Mi. He found happiness in fishing, bowling, watching Detroit Tigers baseball and Detroit Red Wings hockey, and being an avid fan of University of Michigan football and basketball. He proudly served his country in the U.S. Navy. Jack is survived by his wife, Betty (Mrozinski) Padget, two children; Benjamin Padget and his wife Lisa Perkins of Kalamazoo, and Michelle Padget of Baltimore, MD., his sister Judie Hyde-Hintzman, and two nieces; Billie Jo Hyde-Tessendorf and Vicki Hyde-Mayer-Bickel. A Memorial Liturgy will be celebrated on Monday, February 18, 2013 at 11:00am at St. Hedwig Catholic Church. The celebrant will be Rev. Fr. Kevin Kerbawy. Friends may call at the church from 10:00am until the time of services. Those planning an expression of sympathy in lieu of flowers may wish to consider Memorial Contributions to the American Cancer Society or the Catholic Charismatic Renewal Center. Donation envelopes will be available at the church.
