Harvey "Mike" C. Wieland Jr.

Mike passed away on Thursday, November 13, 2025 at his home at the age of 86. The son of the late Harvey and Hannah (Schoebine) Wieland was born May 25, 1939 in Kawkawlin, Michigan. Mike was a lifelong member of St. John’s Ev. Lutheran Church and was retired from General Motors after 35 years of service. He was also a member of the L.F.A. Hall and enjoyed camping, the Detroit Tigers, splitting wood, gardening and doing yard work.

Mike is survived by his three children, Kent Wieland, Craig (Sonya) Wieland and Jennifer (Lance) Johnson; four grandchildren, Warner, Westin, Lance Jr. and Jasmine; one brother-in-law, Ronald Hopton and many nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents, he was also preceded in death by his wife, Sandra Wieland; brother, Charles Wieland; two sisters, Dorothy Lehman and Sandra Hopton; nephew, Daniel Wieland and his father and mother-in-law, Harold and Marge Phenninger.

At the request of Mike, cremation has taken place and no services are being planned. A private inurnment will take place at a later date at Floral Gardens Cemetery. Those planning an expression of sympathy may wish to consider memorial contribution to McLaren Hospice.
