Hollie Anne Gentle

Hollie Anne Gentle, born on September 24, 1990, in Bay City, Michigan, passed away on May 30, 2025, at McLaren Bay Region. She was a radiant soul, known for her heart of gold and her unwavering commitment to being the sunshine in the lives of those around her. She always made us laugh.

Hollie had a passion for literature, dedicating her career to reading and reviewing the works of published authors, a pursuit that allowed her to share her love for stories and words with others. Her enthusiasm for life was also evident in her many hobbies and interests; she cherished cooking and baking, was an avid reader, enjoyed watching movies, and loved spending time outdoors playing with her dogs, Riggs and Margaret. Above all, she deeply valued time spent with her family, creating lasting memories in their company. Especially with her sisterhood of cousins.

She is survived by her husband of ten years, Patrick Gentle; her parents, Derrick and Peggy (Parker) Wetters; and her cherished fur babies, Riggs and Margaret. Hollie's legacy continues through her mother and father-in-law, Patrick and Susan Gentle; Jim Papa Hitz; her brother and sisters-in-law, Jenny (Josh), Kurt, Kris (Becky), Kate (Scott), and Steve; as well as her beloved nieces and nephew, Skyler, Sophie, Lily, Vera, and Summer. Additionally, she held a special bond with Elena, who was like a daughter to both Hollie and Patrick, and she will be missed by many aunts, uncles, cousins, family members, and friends.

Hollie was preceded in death by her grandparents: Jack and Nancy Wetters, Bill and Della Parker, and Lyle and Glenda Noel.

Visitation for Hollie Anne Gentle will be held on June 6, 2025, from 2:00 PM to 8:00 PM at Gephart Funeral Home located at 201 W Midland St, Bay City, MI 48706. The following day, visitation will resume at Bethel Lutheran Church from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM, leading into a memorial service at 11:00 AM the same location, located at 749 N Pine Rd, Bay City, MI 48708. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be considered to wishes of the family.
