Hubert C. Bowden

Hubert Bowden passed away peacefully on Saturday, June 27, 2026, at Union Court Assisted Living in St. Charles, surrounded by his loving family, at the age of 84. He was born on November 2, 1941, in Bay City, Michigan, to the late Thomas and Stella (Buda) Bowden.

Hubert was employed by Saginaw Grey Iron for many years, where he dedicated himself to his work before retiring. In his free time, he enjoyed following Detroit sports, especially the Detroit Lions, University of Michigan football, and the Detroit Tigers. Above all else, Hubert cherished the time he spent with his family. His love, kindness, and unwavering devotion to those he loved will be remembered always.

Left to cherish his memory are his three children, Deborah Bouchard, Mark (Susan) Bowden, and Cheryl (Mark) Simoni; his four grandchildren, Joshua (John) Bowden-Little, Nicholas (Tayler) Bouchard, Michelle Bowden, and Rachel Bowden; his brother, Ron (Ardy) Bowden; and his special friends, CeCe, William, T., Doreen, Sarah, and Shar.

In addition to his parents, Hubert was preceded in death by his beloved wife of 52 years, Carol (Maxon) Bowden.

Honoring Hubert's wishes, cremation has taken place. A Celebration of Life will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, July 3, 2026, at Gephart Funeral Home. Family and friends are invited to gather at the funeral home on Friday from 10:30 a.m. until the time of the service.
