Irene Florence Gauthier

Gauthier, Irene Florence (LaPan) Bay City, Michigan Mrs. Gauthier passed away early Thursday morning June 17, 2010 at the The Carriage House of Bay City. Age 97 years. The daughter of the late Alfred and Florence (Manor) LaPan was born March 19, 1913 in Bay City. She was a member of St. Vincent de Paul Catholic Church and retired as a seamstress. She is survived by her husband of seventy nine years Fred Gauthier whom she married on December 27, 1930 in Visitation Catholic Church. She is also survived by two sons and two daughters-in-law; Lawrence R. and Maxine Gauthier of Linwood and Lester J. and Karen Gauthier of Bay City, one daughter; Shirley Thorpe of Linwood, ten grandchildren, nineteen great grandchildren, five great great grandchildren, one brother; Leonard LaPan of Pinconning, sisters-in-law, brothers-in-law, nieces, nephews cousins and friends. She was preceded in death by her son-in-law; Fred Thorpe, six brothers and six sisters. The Funeral Liturgy will be celebrated Monday, June 21, 2010 at 10:00 a.m. at St. Vincent de Paul Catholic Church (2956 East North Union Road.) Celebrant will be Rev. Fr. Robert J. Meissner with interment following in Calvary Cemetery. Friends may call at the Gephart Funeral Home, Inc. on Sunday from 2:00 to 9:00 p.m.. The Vigil for the deceased will take place Sunday afternoon at 3:00 p.m. at the funeral home. Mrs. Gauthier will be taken to the church on Monday to lie in state from 9:00 a.m. and until the time of services. Memorial cards for St. Vincent de Paul Catholic Church will be available.
