Jacqueline "Jacky" Roberta Sansburn

Jacqueline Roberta Sansburn, age 79, passed away Wednesday, November 4, 2026, at Carriage House, surrounded by her loving family. She was born January 28, 1947, in Bay City, Michigan, to the late Alfred and Irene (Daniels) Wieland.

Education was Jacky’s lifelong passion. Following her graduation from T.L. Handy High School in 1965, she continued her education at Michigan State University, earning her Bachelor’s Degree, and later obtained her Master’s Degree in Education from Central Michigan University. Jacky dedicated 33 years of her life to teaching, spending the majority of her career as a third-grade teacher at Kolb and Hampton Elementary Schools in Bay City before retiring. She was a woman of strong faith and a devoted member of St. Luke’s United Methodist Church for over 40 years. In her spare time, Jacky enjoyed working on crossword puzzles and shopping, but her greatest joy came from spending cherished time with her family.

Jacky is survived by her sons, Jason (Tammy) Sansburn and Eric (Tara) Sansburn; grandchildren, Julie, Troy, Lisa, Johnathon, Ayden, and Kylin; great-grandchildren, Donte, Kairi, Jensen, Lena-Lynn, and Roman; sisters, JoAnn McDonald, Kay Joseph, and Judy (Joe) Fleming; brother-in-law, William (Joy) Sansburn; and numerous nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, Jacky was preceded in death by her beloved husband of 40 years, Charles “Charlie” Sansburn; her sister, Pat Gies; and brothers-in-law, Leland Penzien, Ben Joseph, and Tom Sansburn.
