James P. Clark, peacefully passed away on April 8, 2024, at his home with his family by his side. Born on January 6, 1938, in Louisiana, James lived a life filled with joy, laughter, and unwavering commitment to those around him. During his time on this earth, James proudly served in the U.S. Navy for two years, showcasing his patriotism and dedication to his country. His service was a reflection of his strong sense of duty and honor. Beyond his professional accomplishments, James had a deep love for his faith with God, he had various hobbies and interests. He found solace in boating, fishing, and dancing. Those who knew him best would often find him sitting on the dock for hours on end, watching the boats drift by as he embraced the beauty of nature.
James was a beloved husband to Ardith Clark and a cherished father to Kimberly (fiancé, Ken Flood) Borowy and David (Collette Owsley) Robetoy. His presence in their lives brought light and warmth that will be deeply missed. Additionally, James leaves behind a legacy in the form of his grandchildren: Meghan Robetoy, Dawson Robetoy, and Anna Kay Robetoy.
In mourning his loss yet celebrating his life are Whittier Clark and Maguarite Clark (parents), Laurie Clark and Don Clark and Gene Clark(brothers), Patrick Hogan (brother-in-law), Mary Ann Hogan (sister-in-law), Jeffrey Hogan (nephew), Aaron Hogan and Amber Hogan (nephew and niece), as well as Patrick Hogan and Stacie Hogan (nephew and niece).
A Memorial Service will be held to honor the remarkable life of James P. Clark at Gephart Funeral Home in Bay City, Michigan. Officiating will be Rev. Charles Campbell. The service will take place on Monday, April 15, 2024, starting at 2:00 p.m. Friends may visit with the family on Monday, April 15, 2024 from 12:00 p.m. (noon) until the time of services. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be considered to wishes of the family.
James will be remembered not only for his professional achievements but also for the profound impact he had on those fortunate enough to have known him. His memory will live on through the stories shared by loved ones who were touched by his kindness, wisdom, and gentle spirit. May he rest in peace knowing that he was dearly loved and will never be forgotten.
