James "Skinny" V. Slack

James passed away Saturday, July 17, 2021 at his residence with his family by his side at the age of 37 years. He was born in Saginaw, Michigan on July 30, 1983 to Douglas Slack and Karri Ann Harris (Brown). James was a member of the Ridin or Hidin motorcycle group and loved to ride his motorcycle. He also loved fishing, skateboarding and playing his guitar.
James is survived by his sons, Carson and Jackson Schoch; daughter, LaNiyah Slack; mother, Karri Ann Harris (Roland Clampitt); father, Douglas Slack; brothers and sister, Richard Slack (Alicia Parady), Sabrina Slack (Bauer) and Thomas Harris (Amber Vittitow); girlfriend, Jessica Rivet; nieces and nephews, Landyn, Caleb, Jaxson, Joslynn, Bryla and Audyn. James was preceded in death by his son, Chandler Slack and father, Chuck Harris.
Funeral service will take place at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday, July 29, 2021 at the Gephart Funeral Home, Inc. Officiating will be Rev. Charles Campbell with cremation to follow the service. Friends may visit at the Gephart Funeral Home on Thursday from 12:00 p.m. until the time of the service. Contributions may be made to the wishes of the family.
