James R. White

James passed away Thursday, October 7, 2021 at McLaren Bay Region at the age of 81 years. He was born in Bay City on August 7, 1940 to the late Alger and Louise White. On June 30, 1962 he married the former Gayle Anne Wack and they were married for 59 years. James worked and retired in 2000 after 30 years from General Motors Grey Iron Plant. In his spare time, he enjoyed hunting, being outdoors and spending time with his family and his friends.
James is survived by his wife, Gayle; daughter, Cathy Hoffman; sons, Brian (Kerri) and James Jr. White; grandchildren, Nolet (Mary), Chris, Mandy, Alex, Hunter, Spencer and Jordan; great grandchildren, Lily, Owen, Kairi, Alyssa and Oaklynn; nine brothers and sisters and many nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents, he was also preceded in death by his brother, Larry White.
At the request of James, cremation has taken place. Visitation will take place on Monday, October 11, 2021 from 2:00 to 6:00 p.m. at the Gephart Funeral Home, Inc. Contributions may be made to the wishes of the family. For online condolences visit www.gephartfuneralhome.com
