Jan passed away Thursday, March 9, 2023 at the age of 80, at Brian’s House with her family by her side. She was born October 19, 1942 in Bay City, Michigan to the late Albert and Virginia (Rase) Evans. She was a life long member of St. Alban’s Episcopal Church. Jan enjoyed traveling (She was able to travel to 48 states). She enjoyed watching the Detroit Tigers and loved spending time with her children and grandchildren especially on the softball and baseball fields.

Jan is survived by her three children, Melissa (Ron) Withers, Scott (Rachel) Kennedy and Sarah (Keri) Kennedy; grandchildren, Kayla (Justin) Garza, Ronni (Gage) Withers, Oliver Kennedy, Luke Kennedy, Jasper Kennedy, Jared Schroeder, Angela Withers, Kelsey Withers, Brooke Lamblin; great grandchildren, Malakai, Justin Jr., Kyndell, Xavier and Logan; sister-in-law's, Sandy Evans and Judy (Tom) Ross, brother-in-law, Alan (Terri) Kennedy; cousin, Becky Scott and many nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, Jan is preceded in death by her husband, Robert Kennedy; children, Mary Kennedy and Donald Kennedy; two brothers, Albert Evans and Gary Evans; father and mother-in-law, Robert and Gertrude Kennedy and sister-in-law, Lisa Kennedy.

Funeral Service will be Tuesday, March 14, 2023 at St. Alban’s Episcopal Church at 11:00 a.m. Officiating will be Rev. Nancy Mayhew with interment following at Oak Ridge Cemetery. Friends may visit with the family on Monday, March 13, 2023 from 2:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. and on Tuesday, March 14, 2023 from 10:00 a.m. until the time of services at the church. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be considered to the Brian’s House.
