Janice L. Olson

Janice passed away on Sunday, August 20, 2023 at McLaren Bay Region at the age of 71. The daughter of the late Leonard and Cecilia (Lowery) Bartkowiak was born March 23, 1952 in Bay City, Michigan. Janice loved spending time with her family and her grandchildren.

Janice is survived by her husband, of 36 years, Thomas Olson; children, David (Angie) Schwartz and Andrew Schwartz; step-children, Amy Olson and Eric Olson; grandchildren, Johnna Schwartz, Evan Schwartz, Keegan Schwartz and Braelyn Schwartz; great grandchild, Paisley Grace Schwartz; step-grandchildren, Jordan, Karissa, Aundrea and Aiden; one sister, Linda Montry and her beloved dog, Odus. In addition to her parents she was also preceded in death by her sister, Anne Patteen and her brother, Jon Myer.

At the request of Mrs. Olson cremation has taken place. A memorial service will take place at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday, August 29, 2023 at the Gephart Funeral Home. Officiating will be Rev. Joseph Atchinson. Private Inurnment will take place at a later date in St. Stanislaus Mausoleum. Visitation will take place at the Gephart Funeral Home on Tuesday, August 29, 2023 from 1:00 p.m. until the time of service. Memorial cards for the Bay County Humane Society will be available at the funeral home.
