Jean passed away Monday morning, June 22, 2020 at the Carriage House of Bay City at the age of, 81 years. The daughter of the late Loyal and M. Eileen (Cody) Peters was born July 25, 1938 in Bay City. Jean was a long time member of Our Lady of the Visitation Catholic Church and a current member of Our Lady of Peace Parish. She was very active in her church and volunteered in the office. She was member of the League of Catholic Men and Women and the Little Flower Altar Society. Jean enjoyed baking and was known for her chocolate chip cookies.
Left behind to cherish her memories are her children, Dan (Patricia) Weber, Valerie (Bill) Daly and R. Lauren (Debra) Weber; her grandchildren, Rachel (Mat) Isotalo, Katelin ( Steve)Weber, Kyle (Torri) Weber and Douglas Marsh; her great grandchildren, Landrie, Finn, Elyse, Jack, Hayes, Lea and Chloe; her brother, William "Bill" Peters and her half-sister, Pattie Nemode. In addition to her parent she was preceded in death by her husband, Donald C. Weber; her brother, Danny Peters; her step-father, Thomas Hillman Porter and step-mother, Katherine Peters.
The Funeral Liturgy and Rite of Committal will be celebrated Saturday, June 27, 2020 at 11:00 a.m. at Our Lady of Peace Parish-St. Mary's Church. (For the Funeral Liturgy the church will allow 115 to attend and follow social distancing guidelines). Concelebrating will be Rev. Fr. John Sarge and Deacon Larry DeFord with private interment in Calvary Cemetery. The family will be present at the Gephart Funeral Home, Inc. on Friday to receive family and friends from 2:00 to 8:00 p.m. (During the visiting hours we will be following the governor's order by allowing 10 people in the chapel at one time and using social distancing. You may experience a short wait if you are coming to pay your respects). Jean will be taken to the church on Saturday to lie in state from 10:00 a.m. until the time of service.
