Jeanette Laracey

Jeanette Laracey, of Linwood and Bay City, Michigan, died after a brief illness.  Growing up during the Great Depression shaped her into the frugal yet generous person she was.  Unable to pursue higher education herself due to family circumstances, she was proud that her four children graduated from college and earned advanced degrees.  She was an astute businesswoman, buying, selling, renting and managing numerous real estate properties along with her husband, Melvin E.  She loved cooking, canning, and baking and was an avid consumer of all things newsworthy.
She was predeceased by her husband and will be interred next to him in Heavenly Rest Cemetery in Kawkawlin.  She was the daughter of Julia and Jozef Jezowski.  She is survived by her sister Mary and was preceded in death by her brothers Stanley, Henry, William, and Anthony.  She is survived by her children Melvin (Gretchen), William (Lela), Nancy, and Kevin (Stephanie); and by grandchildren Nicholas (fiancée Lauren), Stefan, Kyle, and Connor.
She was a devoted member of St. Catherine of Siena Catholic Church where donations may be made in her memory: scsparish.com/online-giving/ or 2956 E. North Union, Bay City, MI  48706. To share memories or condolences, please visit gephartfuneralhome.com.  A memorial will be held at a later date.
