Jeff passed away unexpectedly with his family by his side on Tuesday, April 21, 2026 at McLaren Bay Region at the age of 67. He was born to Earl E. and Catherine (Demetris) Brandow on September 27, 1958 in Bay City, Michigan. He was a very proud machinist for Thompson Bay Industries. In his younger years, he was a very good athlete, but he excelled in baseball. He loved playing his drums and listening to his favorite band, RUSH. He enjoyed watching Bob Ross and was a talented painter himself, he enjoyed painting “happy little trees”.
Jeff was an avid hunter and fisherman and enjoyed camping on the Rifle River with his son, Bryan. One of his favorite hobbies was collecting gold coins. If you knew Jeff, you’d recognize how closely he resembled Red Green from The Red Green Show. He never missed a chance to dress like him, and he shared the same easygoing, sense of humor.
Jeff is survived by his life partner, Lori Rabe; mother, Catherine Brandow; siblings, Mike (Ann) Brandow, Deirdre (David) Rettelle and Daniel (Kathy) Brandow; brother-in-law, Ben Scherzer; Lori’s parents, George and Joyce Rabe, and her sisters, Suzanne Schultz and Mary (Mark) Yates; nieces and nephews, Jesse (Melissa) Scherzer, Jacob (Chenwei) Scherzer, Autumn Scherzer, Adam (Katie) Brandow, Alyssa (Bobby) Hensley, Alex (Erica) Rettelle, Sarah Brandow and Alysha Smith and several aunts, uncles, cousins, great nieces and great nephews. He was preceded in death by his son, Bryan Brandow, father, Earl Brandow and sister, Lynnette Scherzer.
