Joan S. LeRoux

Joan S. LeRoux, a native of Bay City's south side, passed away on Sunday, January 29, 2012 at Gensys Hospice Care in Goodrich, MI. Joan (née Andrzejewski) was the wife of Leo J. LeRoux, once general manager of Knepp's department store. She was a highly respected registered nurse and nursing supervisor. Joan graduated from Delta College and began her career at Saginaw General Hospital. Her work spanned 25 years and included positions at several hospitals throughout the state. Joan was the loving mother of four girls - Patricia Rusho, Pamela Lee, Janice LeRoux,Carol LeRoux (Carsten Heuer)and her grandson; Johnathan Metivier. She was also step-mother to four other children - Pamela Smith, Raymond (Mic) LeRoux, Patricia Michalski (Lee) and Kevin LeRoux (Barbara) - and a dear friend to Bobbie Lindauer. She had 14 grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren. Joan is also survived by her brothers Norbert Andrzejewski (Linda), Paul Andrews (Mary), and Roger Andrzejewski (Joyce) and their families. At the request of Joan cremation has taken place. A Memorial Service will take place Thursday evening, February 2, 2012 at 7:00 p.m. at Gephart Funeral Home, Inc. Officiating will be Rev. Fr. Dale Orlik. Friends may call at the funeral home on Thursday from 5:00 p.m. until the time of services.
