Joann N. Anderson

Joann passed away, Monday, October 18, 2021 at McLaren Bay Region at the age of 85 years. She was born on January 30, 1936 in Bay City to the late William and Lydia (Haag) Kloha. On February 28, 1953 she married Thomas H. Anderson and he preceded her in death on December 3, 2014 after 61 years of marriage. Joann was a baptized and confirmed member of St. John Lutheran Church of Amelith and was on the finance committee and the ladies aid. She retired from Delta College after many years and enjoyed spending time with her family and helping her grandchildren.
Joann is survived by her children, Wendy (Dean) Largent, Linda (Karl) Briggs, Randy (Teri) Anderson and William (Beth) Anderson; twenty grandchildren; many great grandchildren; sister, Eunice Bauer and many nieces and nephews. In addition to her husband and parents, she was also preceded in death by her son, Donald Anderson; sister, Phyllis Brinkman and brothers-in-law, Richard Brinkman and Roy Bauer.
Funeral service will take place at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, October 22, 2021 at St. John Lutheran Church of Amelith. Officiating will be Pastor Kurt Eichinger with interment following in the church cemetery. Friends may visit with the family at the church on Friday from 9:30 a.m. until the time of the service.
