John Kenneth Landosky

John Landosky passed away peacefully on Tuesday, September 15, 2026, at his home with his loving family by his side at the age of 70. He was born on June 5, 1956, in Bay City, Michigan, to Alfred and Jane (Salois) Landosky.

John was a graduate of John Glenn High School. Following graduation, he began his career as an operator, a profession he dedicated many years to before his retirement. John was a proud member of Local Union 324 and was honored to receive his 30-year service pin in recognition of his dedication and commitment. He was a man who enjoyed staying busy and could often be found working on other people’s “shit” or helping others with whatever needed to be done. John had a great appreciation for the outdoors and enjoyed hunting, fishing, golfing, and gardening. He was also an avid NASCAR fan and enjoyed snowmobile racing, where he served as a crew chief and was known as “Johnny 5.” John was always willing to lend his time and talents to family and friends and took great pride in helping others. Above all, his greatest joy came from spending time with his family and creating lasting memories with those he loved.

John leaves to cherish his memory his loving wife of 25 years, Jean (Laskey) Landosky; his son, John (Alison) Landosky; grandsons, Lee Landosky and John Landosky; his mother, Jane (Salois) Landosky; siblings, Allan “Bus” (Diane) Landosky, Lucy (Gerard) Wasek, Mary (Steve) Schultz, Tony (Jane) Landosky, and Steve (Megan) Landosky; stepchildren, Amanda (Duncan) Jacoby and Brad Algar; step-grandchildren, Annabelle Jacoby, Sabrina Jacoby, and Juliette Jacoby; brother-in-law’s, Scott Laskey and Bruce Laskey; as well as many nieces, nephews, extended family members, and dear friends.

John was preceded in death by his father, Alfred Landosky; and his parents-in-law, Fred and Pat Laskey.

A funeral service will be held at 3:00 p.m. on Saturday, September 19, 2026, at Gephart Funeral Home. Rev. Fr. Dale Orlik will officiate, with cremation to follow. Friends may visit with the family on Saturday from 11:00 a.m. until 3:00 p.m. at Gephart Funeral Home.
