John E. 'Butch' Olson

Mr. Olson passed away Thursday, June 24, 2010 at Bay Regional Medical Center. Age 62 years. The son of the late John E. and Lucille (Feinauer) Olson was born March 21, 1948 in Bay City, Michigan. Butch enjoyed golfing, home improvement, traveling and going to the casino. Butch was a member of the Loyal Order of the Moose. Mr. Olson is survived by his wife the former Beth Koster whom he married July 18, 1970; four brothers and two sisters, Thomas (Jan) Olson, Michael Olson, Daniel Olson and his special friend Kay Smith, Barb (Dennis) Kukla, Sally (Bob) LaBella and Mark (Amy) Olson all of Bay City; special niece, Jodi (Kevin) Rowell and many other loving nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents Butch was also preceded in death by his mother and father-in-law, Pat and Harvey Koster; one niece, Elizabeth Olson and one brother-in-law, James Koster. The family would like to extend a special thank you to the critical care unit at Bay Regional Medical Center and the caring nurses, Sonddrin, Tim and Kyle. At the request of Mr. Olson cremation has taken place. A memorial service will take place at 5:00 p.m. on Sunday, June 27, 2010 at the Gephart Funeral Home, Inc. Officiating will be Rev. Matthew Schramm. Friends may call at the Gephart Funeral Home, Inc. on Sunday from 2:00 p.m. and until the time of services. Memorial cards for Brian's House will be available at the funeral home.
