John Ranallo passed away on Friday, October 23, 2026, at MyMichigan Medical Center, surrounded by his loving family, at the age of 80. He was born on May 31, 1946, in Buffalo, New York, to the late Felix and Dorothy (Eleey) Ranallo.
John was a man of deep faith who remained devoted to his church throughout his life. He cherished his relationship with his faith community and enjoyed sharing lunch with the Bishop once a month. John proudly served his country in the United States Army and spent many years working in retail advertising sales. He also dedicated more than 20 years to volunteering in prisons, offering his time and service to others. John enjoyed attending horse racing events with his father and watching his favorite sports. Above all, he treasured his family and took great pride in being a loving grandfather to his beloved granddaughter, Lindsey.
John is survived by his devoted wife of 55 years, Nancy (DeVine) Ranallo; his daughters, Maggie Ranallo and Nicole Ranallo; his cherished granddaughter, Lindsey (Zachary) Karbowski-Waterman; four brothers; and one sister.
At John's request, cremation has taken place. A Funeral Liturgy will be celebrated at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, October 30, 2026, at Our Lady of Czestochowa Parish – St. Stanislaus Church, with Fr. Nicholas F. Coffaro serving as celebrant.
