Joseph Michael Bielinski

Joseph passed away peacefully on Sunday, May 29, 2022, at the Colonnades Assisted Living Center at the age of 93. He was born to the late Joseph and Mary (Kotewa) Bielinski on December 8, 1928, in Bay City, Michigan. Joseph was a very proud Veteran and served in World War II and the Korean War, a total of five and a half years while serving in the United States Navy. He was a member of Corpus Christi Parish in Bay City, Michigan. He was proud of his children and grandchildren on their educational and professional accomplishments, and most importantly their devotion to their families.
Joseph married Patricia Ann Duso on November 20, 1948, and they had spent 63 wonderful years together before her passing in December of 2011. He is survived by his children, James Michael Bielinski (Christine) of Marquette, Michigan, Michael Joseph Bielinski (Helena) of Grand Haven, Michigan, Mary Jo Beggs of Bay City, Michigan and William Patrick Bielinski (Karen) of Houston, Texas; 4 grandchildren and 4 great grandchildren. In addition to his wife and parents, he was also preceded in death by his son, Patrick Charles Bielinski.
The family would like to extend a very special thank you to the Colonnades Assisted Living Center for their time and attention, friendship and compassion while entrusted with his care. The members and staff became a part of his extended family and contributed to enriching his daily life. The family would also like to extend a very special thank you to Amara Hospice and their staff for assisting with his daily activities and providing such compassionate care during their involvement over the past several months.
In honoring the wishes of Joseph, cremation had taken place and a memorial mass will be held on Friday, June 24, 2022, at 11:00 a.m. at Corpus Christi Parish. The celebrant will be Rev. Fr. Robert J. Kelm. The family will be present to receive visitors at the church on Friday from 10:30 a.m. until the time of mass. A private inurnment will be taking place at St. Patrick's Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to the Bookmobile and Outreach through the Bay County Library System.
