Joseph Arnold Jeske

Joseph passed away unexpectedly on Sunday, September 27, 2020 at the University of Michigan Hospital at 84 years of age. The son of the late Joseph and Hazel (Grandmaison) Jeske was born at their residence in Kawkawlin, Michigan on May 9th, 1936.
Those left behind to cherish his memory are his wife of 65 years, the former Carol "Kay" Hopkins; two daughters, Jan Jeske and Carrie Jeske Pennicooke; two loving grandsons Warren and Joseph (Jae) Pennicooke. His best friend and brother Fredrick Jeske and his wife Kathryn, their two sons; Jody M. Jeske (God Son), his wife Rachelle and Michael Jeske.  Kim Whaley who was like a daughter to him and many other family members to numerous to mention. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his son, Joseph Clarence Jeske.
Joseph worked at Bay City Milling for 42 years and continued his driving career for Dean's Dairy until his retirement. After his retirement he continued to remain busy delivering cars for local dealerships in Bay City.
Joseph was a lover of NASCAR, Tigers Baseball, Lions Football, and watching his grandsons play hockey or perform on the stage. He loved to bike, run and walk daily, and on his adventures he loved to meet and get to know new people. He always had time to shoot the breeze, lend a hand, and to be a friend.  For those of us that were fortunate to know and love this wonderful man one of the brightest stars in the sky has been extinguished. Finally, a special thanks to all of the staff members at the University of Michigan Hospital that took exceptional care of him in his final days.
