Joy M. Flores

Joy passed away on Monday, August 31, 2026 at Healthsource Saginaw at the age of 79. The daughter of the late Gerald and Betty (Szelogowski) Wamsley was born October 26, 1946 in Bay City, Michigan. Joy loved taking care of people and was an animal lover, especially her dogs.

Joy is survived by her three sons, James P. (Wendy) Flores, Frank (Tara) Flores Jr. and Matthew J. Flores; 11 grandchildren, Allyssa (Matt) Leonard, Kelsey Flores, James P. (Amber) Flores II, Caleb (Ali) Hare, Briana Joy Flores, Angela A. Flores, Frank Flores III, Brooklyn K. Flores, Jessa M. Flores, Eyan J. Flores, Andriana J. Flores and Christopher S. Bardin; 12 great grandchildren; two sisters, Jill Torres and Mary Jo Barton and many nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, she was also preceded in death by her husband, Frank Flores Sr. and her brother, Mike Szelogowski.

At the request of Joy, cremation has taken place and no services are being planned at this time. Those planning an expression of sympathy may wish to consider memorial contributions to the wishes of the family.
