Joyce passed away peacefully Monday afternoon, May 21, 2018 at her residence surrounded by her children and grandchildren at the age of 80 years. Joyce was born on January 28, 1938 in Bay City, Michigan to the late Floyd and Mary (McDermott) Bolduc and Hilda Bolduc and has resided here all her life. On September 17, 1960 Joyce married Leonard Leppek at St. James Church in Bay City. Joyce worked for several doctors' offices in her early years but left that career to raise her family. Over the years, she enjoyed going to rummage sales, making crafts, going to the casino, and spending hours each day on the phone with her daughter Connie. Most of all she enjoyed being a mother and grandmother, her children and grandchildren were the joy of her life.
Joyce is survived by her husband, Leonard; sons, Kenneth (Patricia), Daniel and Michael (Sarah) Leppek; son-in-law, Larry Malace II; five very special grandchildren, Larry and Courtney Malace, Madeline, Elizabeth and Benjamin Leppek; brothers, Gilbert (Ruth), James (Susan) and Richard (Connie) Bolduc. In addition to her parents, she was also preceded in death by her sister, Maryann Reed; brother, Paul Bolduc and beloved daughter, Connie Malace.
The Funeral Liturgy will be celebrated Thursday, May 24, 2018 at 10:00 a.m. at Our Lady of Czestochowa Parish - St. Hyacinth Church. The Celebrant will be Rev. Fr. Dale A. Orlik with private Rite of Committal following in St. Patrick's Catholic Cemetery. Friends may visit with the family at the Gephart Funeral Home, Inc. on Wednesday from 2:00 to 8:00 p.m.  Mrs. Leppek will be taken to the church to lie in state on Thursday from 9:00 a.m. until the time of the mass. The Vigil for the Deceased will take place on Wednesday evening at 7:00 p.m. at the funeral home.
