Joyce Elaine Wachowiak

Our loving wife and mother passed away on Monday, March 29, 2021 at McLaren Bay Region at the age of 91. The daughter of the late Emil and Janet (Anderson) Selle was born February 8, 1930 in Standish, Michigan. Joyce was a very talented seamstress and was a member of Westminster Presbyterian Church and AMVETS Post 22 Ladies Auxiliary.
On March 4, 1962 Joyce married her husband, Gerald John Wachowiak and they raised five children, Kevin (Katie) Wachowiak, Theresa (Mark) Hilliker, Carol (Michael) Petty, Glenn Wachowiak and Ann (Ewing) Fox; ten grandchildren, Kara, Marie, Kit, Macey, Devan, Brandi, Amber, Ariel, Tiffany and Tim; eleven great grandchildren. She is also survived by one sister, Inez (Robert) Ruzzella. In addition to her parents Mrs. Wachowiak was also preceded in death by her sister, Iva McKeon and her two brothers, Lloyd Selle and Earl Selle.
Funeral service will take place at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, April 2, 2021 at Westminster Presbyterian Church. Officiating will be Rev. Jamie Milton with Committal following at Floral Gardens Cemetery. Visitation will take place on Thursday from 2:00 to 8:00 p.m. at the Gephart Funeral Home, Inc. and on Friday at the church from 10:00 a.m. until the time of service. We are currently still under the governor's executive order of social distancing and limited to 25 visitors in the chapel at one time. You may experience a wait while paying your respects, face coverings must be worn. Westminster Presbyterian Church has a limit of 75 people for the funeral service and must wear face mask and follow social distancing. Memorials for St. Jude Children's Research Hospital will be available.
