Judith Ann Glowicki of Bay City, Michigan, passed away peacefully on Monday, December 15, 2025, at the age of 85 after a lengthy struggle with heart related issues.
She was born on May 22, 1940, in Detroit Michigan to the late Donald and Gertrude Smith.
She married the love of her life, Leon Glowicki, on July 14th, 1962, and raised a family as a loving mother and devoted wife.
She had a fulfilling career beginning as a reporter for The Bay City times and later returned to school to further her education, graduating from Delta College in 1991 with an associate in business degree. She subsequently retired from Delta College as an Administrative Assistant.
She was an avid reader, quick-witted, easy to laugh, and generous with her time and kindness. She found joy in creative hobbies including painting porcelain and china as well as rug hooking.
Left to carry on her legacy of love and laughter are her two sons, Scott (Tami) Glowicki and Steven Glowicki; grand dog, Goose; sister-in-law’s, Marlene Smith and Sally Glowicki; many nieces, nephews, lifelong special friends and wonderful neighbors. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband of 54 years, Leon Glowicki; father and mother-in-law, John and Anna Glowicki; brothers, Jim Smith and Don (Holly) Smith; sisters, Midge Daoust, Dena Brandt, Phyllis (Cecil) Williams and Audrey (Chuck) Harkins; brother-in-law’s, Don (Elaine) Glowicki, Elmer Glowicki, John (Madge) Glowicki and Barney Glowicki and sister-in-law, Ruth (Joe) Dobrinski.
In accordance with Judy’s wishes, cremation will take place before her Memorial service on Saturday, January 10, 2026 at 1:00 p.m. at Gephart Funeral Home. The family will be present to receive visitors on Saturday at the funeral home from 11:00 a.m. until the time of the service.
Memorial contributions may be made in Judith’s name to the Bay County Animal Services and Adoption Center.
Judith will be forever deeply missed by all who knew and loved her.
