Judy passed away peacefully on July 24th 2021 with her family by her side 30 minutes after her 72nd birthday after a long fight with cancer. The daughter of the late Charles Cliff and Alice Cliff, was born July 23rd 1949 in Bay City MI and resided here most all of her life.
Judy worked for St. Lukes/Covenant hospital as an Enterostomal Therapist Nurse Clinician for most of her time there, starting back in 1984 until retirement.  She received her Bachelors of Science in Nursing from Saginaw Valley State University and also has a B.S. in Abnormal Psychology. Judy was awarded the SVSU Distinguished Alumni Award in 1999.  She was also the SVSU Distinguished Alumni Officer and President.
Judy loved her family and friends and enjoyed socializing, traveling, her time at the cabin, and her grandchildren especially.  Judy married the late Arthur (Buck) Werner Oct 17th 1970 and is survived by her mother (Alice) and her three sons whom she loved dearly.  Arthur J. Werner III (wife Joy) (grandchildren Adelyn and Allarie), Jeff C. Werner (wife Beth) (grandchildren Brooklyn and Camryn), and Steven M. Werner (wife Meghan) (grandchildren Dalton and Leighton).
Judy was the eldest child and only daughter in her family and is survived by siblings Ron (Connie), Ken (Meryl), Rod (Tammy), Brad (Sheri), along with nieces, nephews, friends, and many others who considered her a second mom.
After the funeral service, Judy's wishes were to be cremated and have her ashes spread in two places, half at her former husband's grave (Buck) at Great Lakes National Cemetery in Holly, MI and the other half up north at the lake house in Gladwin, MI.
Funeral and Committal services will take place at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, July 30, 2021 at Bay Valley Christian Church. Officiating will be Pastor David S. Ferranti. Visitation will take place on Wednesday from 5:00 to 8:00 p.m. and on Thursday from 2:00 to 8:00 p.m. Mrs. Werner will be taken to the church to lie in state on Friday from 10:00 a.m. until the time of service. In lieu of flowers, Judy valued higher education.  Her wishes were to have her grandchildren follow in her footsteps valuing education and grow with the same opportunity.  Her sons are also contributing by using a portion of the life insurance money to help contribute.  If interested you may contribute through Gephart or the below website. https://everloved.com/life-of/judy-werner/donate/?flow=201
