Hawley, June Marie of Kawkawlin, Michigan passed away late Saturday, July 7, 2012 (her mother's birthday) at the age of 79 years at her residence surrounded by her family. She was born April 15, 1933 in Wolverine, Michigan to the late Harold and Myrtle (Dodge) Van Den Bosch. June attended the Lighthouse Free Methodist Church, graduated from T.L. Handy High School and retired from Made Rite. June enjoyed gardening, canning, clipping coupons, shopping at Meijer's and caring for her family and friends. June particularly enjoyed being surrounded by her family, especially her grandchildren and great grandson. On December 25, 1952 she married Oscar E. Hawley and they shared fifty seven wonderful years together and he preceded her in death on November 4, 2009. She is survived by her children; Peggy and Richard Christie of Traverse City, Eileen and Joseph Spyhalski of Gaylord, Earl Hawley and his partner Timothy Gordon of Forest Park, IL and Kenneth Hawley of Kawkawlin, sixteen grandchildren; Anne, John, Kevin, Kate, Peter, Philip, Mary, Matthew and Mark Spyhalski, June, Charles, and Jack Gordon-Hawley, Nicole and Robert Hawley, Michael Prusakiewicz and Brandon Kocian; one great grandson; Theodore Oscar Prusakiewicz; three sisters; Jeanette Stevens, Betty Mowbray and Thelma and Jim Zielinski Sr., one brother; Arnold and Coleen Van Den Bosch; sisters-in-law and brothers-in-law; Donna Van Den Bosch, Ellen and Lawrence Ward, Lottie and Ralph Villella, Minnie Jewell, Osmer and Louise Hawley, Jay and Mary Hawley, Richard and Jackie Knight,her very dear friend and neighbor of 47 years, Grace Smith, and her nieces , nephews, cousins and friends. She was preceded in death by her father-in-law and mother-in-law; Harry Hawley and Grace Hawley-Wells (Frank); her sister; Haroldine Kramer, her brother; Harold Van Den Bosch, brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law; Archie Stevens, Ernest Kramer, Gerald Mowbray, Iva (Frank) Brown, Fred (Edna) Hawley, Joseph (Kate) Hawley, Alton (Ruby) Hawley, Clarabelle and Margaret Hawley, Betty Hawley, Dorothy and Richard Pratt, Neil Jewell, Ernie and Mary Knight. The family would like to extend a special thank you to McLaren Visiting Nurse Services of Michigan (Hospice), especially Carolyn, Carlene, Terri and Tammy, for the kind and compassionate care they provided for June during her illness. Funeral Services will take place Thursday, July 12, 2012 at 11:00 a.m. at the Gephart Funeral Home, Inc. Officiating will be Pastor Lloyd Ayres with interment following in Heavenly Rest Cemetery in Kawkawlin. Friends may call at the funeral home on Wednesday from 2:00 to 8:00 p.m. and on Thursday from 10:00 a.m. and until the time of service. Memorial cards for the Lighthouse Free Methodist Church or McLaren Visiting Nurse Services of Michigan (Hospice) will be available at the funeral home.
