Karen Ann Steve

Karen Ann Steve, of Bay City, passed away suddenly on Monday, January 21, 2013 at her residence, age 70. The daughter of the late Otto H. & Margaret Alma (Carmichael) Steve, Jr., she was born October 7, 1942 in Bay City. Karen received her Bachelor and Master Degrees from Michigan State University. She retired from Bangor Twp. Schools as a special education teacher. Karen was active volunteering at the Bay Area Women's Center, The Bay City Players, Bangor Friends of the Arts and the Phi Beta Sigma Sorority of MSU. Karen is survived by her aunts and uncles, Kitty Rynalski and Elizabeth Carmichael both of Bay City, James Carmichael of Bear Lake, John Carmichael of Cuyahoga Falls, OH, Lucille Newcombe and Lorraine Trudell both of Bay City, Loretta Schindler of Kawkawlin and Patricia Quantz of Bay City; a very special cousin, Cathy Andress Ostrander and several other cousins. It was the desire of Karen that cremation take place and a Memorial Service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, February 2, 2013 at St. Alban's Episcopal Church. Officiating will be The Rev.
