Karen A. Vaillancourt

Karen passed away Friday, September 27, 2019 at McLaren Bay Region at the age of 77 years. Karen was born in Bay City on November 13, 1941 to the late Elmer and Tillie (Arhutick) Zimmerman. She was a member of Corpus Christi Parish - Holy Trinity Church. On July 16, 1960 she married Ernest H. Vaillancourt in Bay City and were together for 59 years. In her spare time she enjoyed crafting, making jewelry and spending time with her family.
Karen is survived by her husband, Ernest; children, Kimberly, Donna, Lynn (Bob) Hildreth, Bob, James (Dawn), Michael; several grandchildren and great grandchildren; many nieces and nephews; special friend, Rob Becker; sisters-in-law, Charlene Zimmerman, Leona Lambert, Alice Jacobs and Bea Vaillancourt. In addition to her parents, she was also preceded in death by her daughter, Patricia Brown; twin granddaughters, Ashley and Sara Hood; brother, Ronald Zimmerman and special friend, Bonnie Benemann.
Funeral Liturgy will be celebrated at 11:00 a.m. on Tuesday, October 1, 2019 at Corpus Christi Parish-Holy Trinity Church. The Celebrant will be Rev. Fr. Robert J. Kelm with Rite of Committal in Calvary Cemetery. Friends may visit at the Gephart Funeral Home, Inc. on Monday, September 30, 2019 from 3:00 to 8:00 p.m. A rosary will be prayed on Monday evening at 7:00 p.m. at the funeral home. Mrs. Vaillancourt will be taken to the church to lie in state on Tuesday from 10:00 a.m. until the time of the Mass.
