Karri Elin Baase

Karri Elin Baase (Scaggs) was born on April 10, 1984 in Bay City, Michigan and joined her grandmother in heaven on September 7, 2026. Karri was a wonderful mother, daughter, sister, friend, and bus driver for two school districts. She loved her family deeply and included the students on her bus as part of that family. Karri always had something nice to say about everyone. She was very realistic, sensible and organized. She loved to crochet and freely made different things for different people. Her mom called her handy Ma’am because she could repair or build anything needed. Karri could always go for a slurpee and wherever she went she would put a smile on someone’s face. Her generosity knew no bounds. She always gave selflessly and put her all in everything she did.

Karri is survived by her husband, Nicholas Baase; daughters, Ella and Lauren Baase; mother, Deborah Ellsworth (Scaggs); stepfather, Charles Ellsworth; brother, Michael (Cindy) Scaggs; nephews, Christian and Jacen Scaggs; niece, Victoria Moser (Scaggs); mother-in-law, Barbara Baase; mother-in-law, Kathy Baase; sisters, Becca Baase, Kaitlyn Thoreson (Baase), and Emily Cataldo (Baase).

Funeral Service for Karri will take place on Saturday, September 12, 2026 at 3:00 p.m. at Gephart Funeral Home. Officiating will be Robert Markillie. The family will be present to receive visitors on Saturday at the Funeral Home from 11:00 a.m. until the time of the service.
