Kathleen M. Schalk

Schalk, Kathleen M. Bay City, Michigan Mrs. Schalk passed away on Wednesday, March 2, 2016 at her residence. Age 66 years. The daughter of the late Louis and Doris (Betzold) Heppner was born on March 27, 1949 in Bay City. Mrs. Schalk enjoyed watching TV, playing Bingo and reading romance books, but most of all spending time with her grandchildren and great grandchildren and visiting with her aunts and uncles. Mrs. Schalk is survived by her two sons, Mathew John (Amy Sequin) Heppner and Kenneth Alan (Glenda) Schalk; one daughter Debra (David) Blakely; eleven grandchildren; four great grandchildren and the family is expecting their fifth; two sisters, Jackie Heppner and Wanda Blakely. In addition to her parents Mrs. Schalk was also preceded in death by her husband, Roger Kenneth Schalk; one daughter-in-law and one brother-in-law, William Blakely. At the request of Mrs. Schalk cremation has taken place. A memorial service will take place at 11:00 a.m. on Wednesday, March 9, 2016 at St. Alban's Episcopal Church. Officiating will be The Rev. Sharon L. Voelker with inurnment in the church columbarium at a later date. Friends may call at the church on Wednesday from 10:00 a.m. and until the time of services.
