Kathleen Marie Telmont

Kathleen Marie Telmont passed away peacefully at her home in Saginaw on Thursday, August 13, 2026, following a long and courageous battle with cancer. She was lovingly surrounded by her two cherished dogs, KaTilly and Prince, as well as her extended family member and dear friend, Mary Streeter. Kathleen was born in Bay City, Michigan, on January 9, 1955, to the late Charles and Virginia (Heckadon) Telmont.

Kathleen dedicated much of her professional life to helping others through her work as a social worker with Lutheran Child and Family Service. She was a talented and enthusiastic dancer who enjoyed music and treasured the companionship of her beloved dogs. Kathleen had a warm and caring nature and formed many meaningful friendships throughout her life.

Left to cherish Kathleen’s memory are her son, Gabriel (Nesty) Padilla; granddaughter, Sophia Padilla; sister-in-law, Kathleen Telmont; and adopted sister, Kimmie Ona. She is also survived by many close friends whom she considered part of her extended family, including Mark Krawzak, Dale and Mary Streeter, Cory Caccut, and Neil Platt.

In addition to her parents, Kathleen was preceded in death by her brothers, Charles Telmont and Michael Telmont.

A Celebration of Life will be held at 4:00 p.m. on Saturday, August 22, 2026, at Gephart Funeral Home. Friends may visit with the family on Saturday from 11:00 a.m. until the time of service.
