Kathryn Jean "Kaye" Armstrong

Kathryn passed away Saturday morning, October 7, 2017 at Mid-Michigan Regional Medical Center in Midland, Michigan. The daughter of the late Leo and Jeanie (Cameron) Smith was born October 3, 1939 in Bay City, Michigan. She was a member of Zion Lutheran Church. Kathryn loved her grandsons and enjoyed spending time with family and friends and gardening. Left behind to cherish her memories are one son and daughter-in-law, Scott and Lynne Armstrong; two grandsons, Cameron and Braden Armstrong; her very special friends, Irene Jean Rechsteiner and Edward Hart; one sister, Jolene McCure; one brother Jim Smith; many cousins, nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, she was also preceded in death by her beloved grandmother, Katie Herzog. At the request of Kathryn,cremation has taken place. A Memorial Service will take place Tuesday evening, October 10, 2017 at 7:00 p.m. at Gephart Funeral Home, Inc. Officiating will be Rev. William H. Allwardt. The family will be present at the funeral home to receive family and friends from 3:00 to 7:00 p.m. Those planning an expression of sympathy may consider donations to Zion Lutheran Church.
