Kurt Rupff

Kurt passed away peacefully Thursday, February 2, 2023 with his family by his side. Kurt was the loving partner to Roselyn Steffy for over 27 years. He was born March 23, 1959 to the late Louis and Elizabeth (Pertersen) Rupff. Kurt later shared the love of his special stepmother, Virginia (Burns) Rupff.
Kurt was a 1979 graduate of Bay City Central High School. Following graduation, Kurt joined the family business of Evenknit Hosiery Inc. and the Even-Knit Shops where he worked for many years. Kurt was incredibly proud of his family's business. He then worked for Valley Carpet Inc. until his retirement.
Kurt had many interests including playing pool, riding his bike and, in his younger years, he loved to play tennis. He especially loved everything to do with the outdoors. He always looked forward to the warmer weather where he could spend his time camping and fishing in northern Michigan.
Kurt is survived by his partner Roselyn, one brother, Ludwig (Jackie) Rupff of Bay City and one sister, Bayne (Klaus) Birckenstaedt of South Carolina. nieces, Amy Cianek, Virginia McLaughlin, Rebecca Rupff, and nephew, Kuy Scott. Kurt will also be missed by his special cat, Nelli, who could usually be found sitting on his lap. Kurt was preceded in death by his father, Louis Rupff; mother, Elizabeth "Bobsey" Petersen and stepmother, Virginia (Burns) Rupff.
